Played another course for free with my Eagle Card today -- Lake Park Golf Course in Lewisville. Again I was put by myself as apparently I was the last person with a tee time that morning -- 10:30am -- because of heat. What a bunch of woosies! The heat is not that bad. There were two guys ahead of me and so I played two balls and practiced by chipping and putting quite a bit.
The course is really wide open with few hazards and trees. Much like the old cow pasture course I first played on. Only real worry is if you hit an errant tee shot as holes are pretty tightly packed together and so you can end up on another fairway. I only did that one time! Still shot a 79. For the first time I played a round with my Ipod on and listening to some great classic rock hits that kept me pumped up. Also started daydreaming about a Sonic Route 44 Iced Tea with 8 Sweet-n-lows!

Hello! I'm a single mid-age lady golfer with about a 10 handicap (or less in summer). I play 2-3 times a week and often just walk up as a single golfer to a club to play. I decided to write this blog to provide some thoughts on the issues faced by a single lady golfer. You would be surprised at how some clubs react when you say you want a tee time and you are single and female! Also some courses are more welcoming than others -- not just in how personnel treat you but also in lay out. So I want to share some of my thoughts and reviews and from a slightly different perspective :)
